Falkenbach
Falkenbach est un groupe de Black Folk Viking Metal allemand.
Leur musique est constituée de chants clairs à partir de leur second album. Quelques instruments folkloriques traditionnels germains (comme beaucoup de groupes paiens).
Falkenbach signifie "Le ruisseau des faucons".
Vratyas Vakyas, actuellement l'unique membre du groupe, est retourné s'installer en Allemagne après quelques années passées dans sa jeunesse en Islande.
Les textes de Falkenbach sont pour la plupart écrits en anglais, mais on y trouve également du vieil islandais, du latin et du vieil allemand. Ces textes sont inspirés pour la plupart de l'Edda, recueil poétique païen islandais.

On eagle's swift and supple wings
I tore through the utter black.
No clouds above, no ground below
The flame's my only light.
I fell into nothingness until the impact ceased my fall,
Into a world unknown to man....

From a forest, unspoiled, unseen, I perceived
A whispering, summoning me

A cloaking darkness embraces me
Though flames are burning bright,

Minhyriath -

Minhyriath est un groupe de Folk Metal suisse, projet solo d'Arnrod, également chanteur d'Exelsis. Il habite à Koppigen (Canton de Berne)

Les sujets des textes sont tirés de l'univers de Tolkien, du Seigneur des Anneaux.

Le Minhiriath était le nom que donnèrent les Númenóréens à la région située entre le Baranduin et la Gwathló. À l'origine couvert de denses forêts, il fut déboisé de façon intensive par les Númenóréens au cours du Second Âge, et les armées de Sauron finirent de dévaster les bois lors de la guerre contre les Elfes (1695 - 1700 2A). Au Troisième Âge, il fit partie du royaume d'Arnor, puis du Cardolan, mais après la chute de ce royaume et la Grande Peste de 1636 3A, qui fut particulièrement virulante dans la région, le Minhiriath devint quasiment désert de toute population.
